Mission Critical Media (MCM)’s Jillian Arnold is an expert on integration of Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technologies into the film, television, and media space. She is the unique blend of forward thinking ideology with a vision for a more empathetic labor environment. Jillian’s focus is on technical solutions that create a tool box for our labor workforce, while keeping in mind contractual policy and the bigger scope of the next generation of television and film production.
Jillian is the IATSE Artificial Intelligence Sub-committee Chair for the 2024 IATSE-AMPTP negotiations. Jillian is bridging the gap between Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technology’s role in the work place, while maintaining the ideology that television and films are made authentically, for humans by humans.
She is the first female and video president in Local 695 Sound, Video, and Projection’s ninety year history and was re-elected for her second term.
Jillian is the first media manager to be initiated into the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and is a member of the Science & Technology as well as the Light, Camera, and Technical Arts peer groups.
Jillian’s career launched in the aerospace industry at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. There she oversees high-speed, high-resolution productions for engineering analysis as part of the Mars Program. She also participated in JPL’s Juno orbital insertion, Cassini's farewell, and Mars Curiosity Landing. Jillian has participated in over a dozen missions, spanning the entire solar system. She is also a member of California Institute of Technology’s Athenaeum Academic Society.
As an award winning video engineer, Jillian specializes in recording workflow engineering, digital acquisition and transfer, and media management. She is one of the few experts in a lucrative, technically progressive field of live television. These shows include MTV VMAs, The Emmys, The Oscars, Grease Live, NFL Honors, and more. In addition, she collaborates with NFL Films, Ted Talks, and all Viacom CBS tentpole shows.
Jillian has a Bachelors degree in film theory and history from the University of Wisconsin - Madison, and a Masters in Film Production - Cinematography from Chapman University.
